There are thousands and thousands of nations all over the world. And each nation is unique with its own history, culture and language. Everyone who represents a specific nation is proud of this uniqueness, proud of being a representative of his ethnic group.  

Our nation has been named “OSSETIANS”, though we always call ourselves “IR” and “DIGOR”. And wherever Ossetians live, in Northern or Southern Ossetia, all over Russia and former USSR, in Turkey, Syria, Europe, North America, Australia, they always know where their roots are coming from, and where that invisible but tangible enough magnet is located, which attracts them through their course of life.  

The best knowledge of a nation can be obtained through learning the people – carriers of history, culture, language, traditions, mentality and the spirit of a nation.  

All of these concepts could be described with just one but very capacious Ossetian word - FARN. 

The goal of this project is to tell you about those, who are the carriers of Ossetian Farn.
